Papier macht Schule and the Gratkorn elementary school are jointly launching a world record attempt. With a self-designed paper tree, everyone can now become part of the "Longest Chain of Paper Trees".
NOW MORE THAN EVER!
Under this motto, the Gratkorn elementary school has approached the "Papier macht Schule" team with a top idea: Together we want to set a world record - namely "The longest chain of paper trees" - in plain English "the longest chain of paper trees". Because the
times call for more "WE" feeling: Working together on something "really big" strengthens cohesion and does good.
THE WORLD RECORD
According to the Guinness Book of Records, at least 5,000 trees made of paper must be threaded onto a tape in an overlapping manner.
BE PART OF THIS WORLD RECORD AND WIN TOTAL PRICES
Just send us your designed paper tree(s) and become part of this unique record. For more information about the submission modalities and templates for paper trees for printing, please visit www.papiermachtschule.at. All entrants*
will be entered into a draw for (age-appropriate) prizes.
FROM PAPER TREES A REAL FORESTGIVES UP
For every 50 paper trees strung up, the children of the Gratkorn elementary school plant a real tree in a wooded area north of Graz. This means that if the world record of 5,000 paper trees is achieved, at least 100 real trees in the "world record forest" will continue to provide a good climate, clean air and jobs in the future. After paper is produced from the renewable raw material wood, the cycle is closed.
INCLUSIVE: 31 MARCH 2021.
Anyone can participate - participation is free of charge.
